How to wash your dog's bed

Rub your dog's bed out and use a new fluff roller to remove hair from the surface. Loose dog hair is rinsed and reconnected during the wash cycle or clogs the fluff screen in the dryer. Disconnect the outer material cover and turn it to the right before placing it inside the washing machine. If the inner bed is made of foam or synthetic material, place it in the washing machine. Add a mild, fragrance-free detergent.

Choose a detergent labeled "fragrance free" or "sensitive skin". The scented detergent you use for human washing can irritate your dog's skin, causing itching, eczema and blisters. Wash the bedroom and exterior cover in a gentle wash cycle with cool water. A normal wash cycle and hot water can deform, shrink or melt parts of the bed. Dip one foot into warm paraffin 3 times, pausing between layers to allow them to dry. The dryer sheet reduces static electricity, which reduces the amount of hair stuck to the bed. Most dog beds come with washing instructions on the side label. Refer to these instructions for washing specific material. warning Never attempt to wash a dog bed under the bed in a washing machine. Dry cleaning is the only safe option for such materials.
